Hi all, another update for LD today. I have been working on this site to add in some extra functions. It is hard to choose which to use and which not to use. Finally, I back to basic. Think over what my purpose to run this site. What’s my readers want? How can I provide? I always say that know more about your readers is always a good way yo improve our blog content quality. In the process, I manage to learn something new and find something useful again, from the word wide web. Let’s see what’s new here.

The third official Webmaster Malaysia Gathering is on. This time, they move from KL to PJ - The Curve at Mutiara Damansara. I missed the first gathering because I still don’t know what the hell it that at that time. I did participate in the second gathering in KL Sentral. I got inspired from there. I also met some famous people there althought they don’t know about me. I still enjoy the event.

Since the vectortuts was launched. I had just created a zooming icon using Illustrator. Then, I sent it to vectortuts. After they approved the concept. I start to write the full tutorial in details. Maybe I just forgot how to write a tutorial since I leave it out for a while. I spent 4 hours to finished the tutorial with a already finished result. I found that the hardest part is how we are going to present and explain the work flow step by step. So, readers will not get confused while following the tutorial. After I finished the writing, I re-check the whole thing and then submit to vectortuts. So, now I only need to wait for the publish of the tutorial. Relax ~ Besides, there is alo some changes for LD …

Another tutorials site from the founder of psdtuts. Currently, they are running PSDTUTS, NETTUTS and now VECTORTUTS. All using same web template with different colors. The system and structure remain the same. Another good place for you to learn tutorial now. From the name itself, you can know that this will mainly focus on Vector creation. They will provide tutorials for Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Fireworks, CorelDRAW and others drawing tools.

Time past fast ( what a classic opening ), LoonDesign is 1 year old already. LD (LoonDesign) had provide some good stuffs for the readers. Me, the only one who is running this site all the while. She gave me a lot of sweet memories but there is also some negative feedbacks. All the way, I would like to say thank you to all my readers who always return and show me their support and interest. Anyone know what had happen to CSSVault website? I posted about my web design inspiration a few days ago and I received a comment from Dybcio, he told me that the site redirect to the Apple Gazette page. I double checked and what he was saying is right. CSSVault, used to be the web designer’s bets web gallery and inspiration. Now, become an Apple Gazette page, do anyone of you know what had just happen to them? It is kind of disappointed if the site has went down just like that.

I like to surf around the net to get inspiration before I start my first draft in doing web design. So, I did find some quality sites or resources. Inspiration, not meaning that you can totally copy the style you like. You may learn the concept, structure or even color usage from the pro. For resources sites, I also stick with those I bookmarked. Not so much but just a few that I think it is up to level and update frequently. So, today, I am going to share with you my favorite resources sites for learning purpose and my favorite web gallery to get design inspiration.

Quite a long time I do not write a post here. Recently, I am busy in preparing some stuffs which is related to web design, hmm.. I think blog design is more suitable. Do you have ever think of this? What do you think about web design? You can find the articles related to “how to” do web design everywhere by mentioning as “top tips” or else. However, I did read it and find it useful. I recommend them to those who are willing to step into this field or those who can’t get himself on the hot list for quite a long time. Here, I will giving some tips from my point of view and also some will be taken from other experienced web designers. I am not saying that I am so pro in this field and want to act here but just wish to share my opinion and tips.

Another big site had been launched after the great success of PSDtuts by Collis Ta’eed. This time, they go for website building tutorials/resources - Nettuts.com. This is a site that you MUST bookmark. Now, it is only a soft launch and the site will be updated slowly with 1 or 2 tutorials a week. Somehow, I think they will pick up the speed while people submitting their tutorials. So, if you are a web designer or web developer. You may not want to miss any of their tutorials or topics there.
